The Community Foundation of South Puget Sound (www.thecommunityfoundation.com) is an organization in Olympia, WA that manages charitable gifts from donors by administering and professionally managing donated funds to make the most of the gifted funds.
Between October 31, 2018 to November 20, 2018, the Foundation is running the GIVE LOCAL campaign. This three-week online giving campaign will support non-profits in Thurston, Mason and Lewis counties in Washington State. There are over 75 organizations that have been reviewed by the Community Foundation. And 100% of the funds raised from GIVE LOCAL are passed along to the charities!
How many times have you donated and wondered how much actually went to the people you are trying to help?
During this 3-week campaign, you can be assured your donation will 100% go to the people and organization you want to help. This is possible through the generous support of sponsors. My brokerage, Coldwell Banker Evergreen Olympic Realty, Inc. is one of the sponsors, covering the transaction fees and marketing costs of the campaign.
If that isn’t enough incentive, your dollar will go even further with the $100,000 Incentive Fund.
The Dawkins Charitable Trust is offering a $100,000 Incentive Fund that proportionally increases the value of every dollar donated. For example, if a non-profit organization receives 5 percent of the total donations during the GIVE LOCAL campaign, that same non-profit receives 5 percent of the $100,000 Incentive Fund.
GIVE LOCAL is just one part of the Community Foundation’s efforts to invest in the community, making our region a healthier and more vibrant place to live. The non-profit organizations include providing social and medical funds, scholarships for students, funds that promote the understanding and practice of healthy living, and more.
