Lightning strikes in Olympia WA on a hot August night 2014!
It’s not often that Olympia WA gets struck by lightning, so when it does, I along with a lot of other shutter bugs get out and try to capture it. I was able to get this with my iPhone as the lightning lit up the lower layer of the clouds. In the far right of the photo, you can see a street light and how small it is compared to this bolt of lightning. Tonight might bring more interesting weather!
