The Indian Summer Golf & Country Club, Olympia, WA Community Garage Sale took place June 24, 2012.

It was a huge success for both sellers and bargain hunters. 

The Indian Summer Golf & Country Club community garage sale is a highly orchestrated event, and is quite impressive!  This neighborhood does it right – the event is advertised in the newspaper, online and with signs around the neighborhood, sellers are identified on a map that shoppers are given at the entrance gates, sellers are also identified with balloons, there are Porta-Potties throughout the neighborhood and garbage cans, roaming security to keep traffic moving along, and the garage sale organizers also arranged for a Goodwill truck in the driving range parking lot where sellers can easily donate their unsold goods.

Some residents donated the proceeds of their sales to local causes and charities; some also cooked up some hotdogs and donated those proceeds, too.

With over 500 homes in the Indian Summer Golf & Country Club community, the annual garage sale always draws a huge crowd.
