Is it too late in the season to sell my home?

Nope!  Although many feel spring is prime time selling season and the frenzy wraps up at the end of the summer, a home can be successfully sold any time of the year.  Certainly in the spring and summer, buyers want to be settled before school starts or before the winter holidays, but there are plenty of buyers out there who are ready to buy at any time of the year.

There are fewer homes on the market, which means fewer choices for active buyers. This is great news for sellers.  And if you abide by the three P’s of real estate, you’ll be successful at any time of the year.

  • Price—properties priced “right” are seeing offers within the first 30 days.  And we are seeing bidding wars on priced right homes.
  • Product—make sure that curb appeal is stunning and the property is in top showing condition.  You may also want to consider the advice of a professional stager.
  • Promotion—hire me to showcase your property in the best light with  professional photos, top-notch ad copy, and a wide net of advertising mediums to reach the most buyers.

Don’t be a FSBO (For Sale By Owner)!

A video warning that this could happen to you!

If you are considering selling your home without a Realtor (or know someone who is), please reconsider and watch this video as a warning!  And call me as soon as possible!

(Although this video was done in fun with my colleagues and is a spoof on the
DirectTV commercials, it’s still important to note that taking on the sale of your home can bring on unwanted side affects.  If you can’t see the video, click on this link.)

When you are ready to sell, call me for a consultation about your property’s value and let’s get started on achieving your real estate goals!

Hey—they aren’t even ripe yet!

The Bunny Berry Burglar strike again!  He’s eating all my green strawberries!

Bunny Berry BurglarLast year, my husband built several raised garden beds for me to try and grow organic vegetables.  In theory, this was a great idea.  However in reality, I ended up with a  few deformed zucchini, half-eaten tomatoes and a row of very robust green beans that nearly took over Thurston County!

This year, I gave up on the veggies and planted colorful flowers but kept just four strawberry plants.  I thought my gardens were safe from the animals, when I just happened to look out my window:  I caught the Bunny Berry Burglar in action!

If you have any good gardening stories and/or photos, either of woe or success, please share them with me. I’ll either feel better or worse about my green thumb!

  1. If it’s any consolation, I can’t keep anything other than kids alive. This is why I buy flowers and pay people to garden for me. At least you have an attraction for wildlife!
