DuPont Real Estate Market
DuPont WA has been a determined corner of the real estate market to hold as steady as it can. With its close proximity to JBLM, it has a built-in buyer and seller base which has kept this area steady and stable as compared to the rest of Pierce County.
Average Homes Price in DuPont WA
From the peak of the market in 2007/2008 to October 2012, Pierce County saw home values plummet on average by 31.3%. For this same period, DuPont’s average home prices fell only 11.7%.
Inventory Levels Shrinking
The number of homes available for sale has decreased 22% from this time last year. What makes this number even more significant is that DuPont did not see its historical surge in inventory in the summer months. In June 2011, there were 50 homes on the market; for June 2012 this number was cut by over half to just 24 homes available for sale.
Pending Sales Up
Pending sales show that there are buyers out there making offers that sellers are accepting. This is a positive trend up 33% from last October. This is an indicator of buyers feeling more confident about the market and of sellers pricing their listings within the current market. Both are positive trends.
